Alpha 4: Multiplayer release!
We're back!
We've been working on some big changes for alpha 4, welcome to the multiplayer release! With this release finally out, for the next step in the games journey, we're planning on holding a tournament with cash prizes!
Before that however, here's some big changes we want to tell you about!
Alpha 4 additions:
Tutorial :
We've finally added a comprehensive tutorial for old and new players of the turn based strategy genre, explaining our systems and mechanics in a clearer format. The tutorial will teach you how to move and control the game. It also has basic strategic information if this is your first time playing a turn based strategy.
Menus:
All new sprites and UI changes for our menus, creating a clearer layout. With cool animations!
Multiplayer:
Multiplayer servers are now fully functional, with functional server lists, direct connect, global/local chat and spectator.
Gameplay:
We've decided to reintroduce the secondary capture point objective to multiplayer. Single player however does not have the capture point gameplay as the AI is too stupid to play around the objective.
Alpha 4 tweaks and updates:
Sprites:
A lot of sprites have been updated to better reflect the current design of the game.
-Multiple changes to environment.
-Fixed errors in the unit sprites.
-Fixed the damn bush yet again.
UI/UX:
-A lot of new small UI and UX changes have been added. Including bug fixes.
-Most text now uses the custom font.
-Accidentally created a cool text effect, we're keeping it.
-Settings menu tweaked.
-Fixed crash.
